"The very beginning of Estella’s journey! 🎻 We bought her first violin in July 2023—a 1/2 size 'Fitness' brand. It was honestly a VSO (Violin Shaped Object) bought used for experimentation, but she fell in love with it instantly. In this video, she is practicing with her first teacher. He was a very talented musician, though not a violinist himself. We eventually decided to move on and practice together at home—combining her talent with my hobby as a Nay player (I'm not a professional by any means .. only a Hobbyist with some history with Xylophone and Keyboard as a child) —until we could find a proper violin specialist. For a young girl starting on a tough instrument with non-specialized help, I think this is a pretty impressive start! Note: This video was filmed and uploaded by Estella's father.
