The weather is warmer than usual which will make for a more busier walk as far as people on the streets. We will take a straight route to Kings Highway, and do some bonus walking on Kings Highway, until we hit McDonald Avenue. Along the way, we will pass by one of the oldest Carvels in the NY area (and probably one of the oldest in the U.S.) This Carvel has been open since 1954 and is in the original slope shaped building from the time it opened. We will also pass over the Coney Island Avenue bridge, pass by the busy avenues of Avenue X and Avenue U, and then make our way along busy Kings Highway. The time of this walk takes place in the afternoon - and traffic can be noisy at times. Coney Island Avenue is considered one of the most dangerous traffic avenues in Brooklyn - recording many accidents per year. But we will be safe on this walk, so feel free to tag along on this warm afternoon in February.
