It follows a “what if” scenario, exploring what might have happened if William Afton’s son lived, and he never became a serial killer. ✧༝┉┉┉┉┉˚*❋ ❋ ❋*˚┉┉┉┉┉༝✧ happy easter, everyone! i hope the holiday finds you well. here is the official lyric video for the ep 6 song, performed by flix, troi, lapira and nara!!! a little background information on this. very early on into episode 6’s conceptualisation, i knew it needed to end with the kids performing a song as a stand-in for the animatronics. often in fkaf, you’ll find there’s things that “rhyme” with canon fnaf. fkaf doesn’t have the mimic, but it has a kid who is so unsure of their identity that they copy everyone around them. fkaf doesn’t have a missing children’s incident, but all the leslies die instead. in a similar way, the kids don’t go on to possess the animatronics and perform every day, but they do get to give one performance as themselves. originally, the song was gonna be a medley of fnaf fansongs (the one made by jakeneutron), but i felt like it was a little too on-the-nose and tugged a little too hard at the immersion. so, i had the idea to use “what’s the matter martha” and alter the lyrics slightly to be a song by a heartbroken afton directed at his lost love. i’ve seen quite a few people saying they enjoy our rendition of the song, which makes me glad! i know our voice actors gave it 110%, and although my mixing isn’t perfect, i think i did okay. you can look forward to a second musical number with more professional mixing later on this season. until next time :) -chara
