Tractor Chainsaw Holder for $8 !! DIY tractor upgrades for very little money!

I often want to carry a chainsaw on the tractor but the professional chainsaw holders are $150! Yikes! Don't get me wrong, they seem like good products but you can create your own for under 10 bucks, here is how. Get a $8 chainsaw scabbard and mount it in a spot that's out of the way and doesn't collide with vegetation like blackberries etc., see the video for some suggestions. For 10 minutes of work and 10 Dollars this is a great solution and it will last multiple seasons. Get this scabbard: https://amzn.to/3d1Iibb (about $8) and use some stainless steel machine screws to mount it. Avoid drilling through load-bearing parts etc. please don't do anything crazy. Mount it where it can do no harm. Tractors and chainsaws are DANGEROUS, please use common sense and follow all manufacturer's instructions etc. Use and follow this video at your own risk, no promises, no guarantees etc. and if in doubt ask a professional. A friend of mine did something similar with a piece of pressure-treated wood to give the chainsaw head some extra support. And there are some other options to prolong the life of the scabbard so you don't have to replace it every 2, 3 years - be creative. The commercial chainsaw holders have great reviews but they are a lot more expensive, here are two models to check out: The SawHaul Carrier: https://amzn.to/3xuYv22 The RJ Chainsaw Holder: https://amzn.to/3cXznaN If you need professional quality then these are the way to go. Personally I think the RJ holder mounts in a better spot but both of these products have great reviews, the only drawback is their price. Fair for the quality but I think a $8 scabbard will also work pretty well for much less, even though it won't last as long.
