The animated video was launched by UN Women Jordan, during the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign in 2015. The aim of the video is to address negative connotations associated with the CEDAW Convention among the general public in Jordan – while highlighting the positive effects of its implementation in the society. The animated video is the result of joint advocacy efforts under the dedicated joint programme on CEDAW - implemented by UN Women, UNICEF and UNFPA in collaboration with the Jordanian National Commission for Women.
