We start with a clever seeding hack: watch us remove the weighted rice sacks we place over newly sown seeds! This traditional method protects the seeds, helps them retain moisture, and ensures better germination during the hot summer. We then spread rice bran on the fresh sprouts to further boost the soil and keep pests away. You'll see some satisfying husband-and-wife teamwork as my husband prepares new garden rows using the beautiful "Juy va Poshte" (Traditional Channel & Mound) irrigation. The best part? A massive, colorful harvest of cucumbers, sweet basil, fresh dill, and chard! We wash it all right by the stream and finish the day with watering all our yard and patio flowers, followed by a much-deserved tea and biscuit break on the swing! It's a rewarding look at self-sufficient living and finding joy in the simple, hard work of garden.
