Enjoy it, cuz it's the only one. QF4-2. Unfortunate we didn't get to experience more of this at MARC. Didn't even face/partner with them during qualifying. QF matches were just so weird. Unfortunate and unexplained 2851 power shutdown during triple in Match 1. Match 2 was fun (obviously). Match 3 was big weirdness. Ultimately only needed single for win, but that wasn't known until very end of match (the opposing alliance had already tripled in Match 1, so that was a threat until very late). Biggest awkwardness was spending time over on opponent side of the field - Adam was used to the usual 67/469 strategy, and we failed to remind him that we're not 469 with the wide intake, lol. We can wreak havoc over there and did, but when you need to ultimately get back and score, not good. Our coach needed to be more assertive in sticking with what we know works best for us, and he knows that now. Match 3 - we had plenty of ammo for 2 bots to share, but too much time spent engaging opposition. Will return to and maintain Wisconsin Regional strategies at IRI. Adam was great to work with - Keith got a taste of working with Einstein caliber people. I think we learned from each other. I think 67's new drivers are getting the hang of things very quickly - just wish we could have extended their elimination experience. I am very proud of 48 for once again coming back and surging to the Top 8 after early blar. We need to find a way to recapture the magic/luck/partner combo that led to our regional success. Hoping our senior drive team kids can discover that magic one more time at IRI - they deserve to go out on top!
