#documentary #musicdocumentary #stellastarr Stellastarr* (don't forget that asterisk!) will always have a soft squidgy place in my heart as they were the first band that I ever saw live with my friends in 2004 when they toured the UK. I can still remember exactly how giddy my 16-year-old self felt when they played 'My Coco'...but they ultimately never got a fair shake when much lesser bands (The Bravery anyone?) were rammed down our throats. In this video, I explore the band's 80s influences, talk about which mega-famous band supported them before they got big and I get into their super interesting post-Stellastarr* careers. I absolutely love Cheekface, Amanda's new band. Funnily enough, earlier today I bought a ticket to see them when they tour the UK next year - which will be almost exactly 20 years since I saw Stellastarr* back in the day.
