CNC Mill Setup and Milling Small 304 Stainless Parts

Hello everyone, welcome to At-Man Unlimited. Today let’s make some parts. For this job we received a request to mill some small parts out of 304 Stainless Steel. First we need to do a machine setup and install the required tooling. Then setup the tooling and fixture offsets before making the parts. The first part needs facing, milling, and drilling. We held the first part on a 0.125” lip in our vice. For the second part we will drill, tap, and then mill the outline of the part. We used toe clamps and clamped the stock onto some scrape. After the part was cut free from one side of the stock we moved a toe clamp to hold the almost finished part to machine the final side.
