This video is a recording of a Consent Decision Making demonstration filmed during a Sociocracy 3.0 workshop led by James Priest in November 2017. Consent Decision Making is a Sociocracy 3.0 pattern from the category of patterns Co-Creation and Evolution. It's a (facilitated) group process for decision making: inviting objections, and considering information and knowledge revealed to further evolve proposals or existing agreements. Unresolved objections prevent proposals from becoming agreements, while a proposal with all objections resolved becomes an agreement and is considered good enough for now and safe enough to try. Not all arguments raised are objections. Distinguish between objections, which always reveal useful information, and other arguments that are based only on opinion, preference or concern.
