LMPD Cop Shoots Man Who Raised Gun Toward Officers

(Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) Louisville, Kentucky — On Monday, October 27, 2025, at about 2 a.m., LMPD officers received a 911 call for service to the 5500 block of Ridgecrest Rd on a report of a shooting. The female caller told dispatchers that a woman had been shot at the location. The caller remained on the line with 911 dispatch while officers were in route. Officers arrived on scene to discover a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was laying down on the sidewalk and not moving. A man later identified as 20-year-old Frank Aguilar approached the two LMPD officers and displayed a handgun. He was quickly ordered by officers to show his hands. However, the suspect pointed his handgun in the direction of officers. Officer Hunter Weaver discharged his weapon several times, striking the suspect. The other officer did not fire his weapon. Officers approached the suspect, placed him in handcuffs, and began to render aid until EMS arrived. Other officers began rendering aid to the woman down on the sidewalk that was originally shot. Both the woman that was originally shot and the suspect shot by police were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital where they were both pronounced deceased. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the woman as 45-year-old Tiffany Reiner.
