One of a flurry of 1960s concert recordings that were dug up by fly-b-night record labels (read mafia-controlled) and sold in bargain bins to capitalize off Richard Pryor's superstardom. Most came out through David and Lots Drozen's Laff imprint. They had a legitimate contract with Pryor at one point and used it to justify the release of bootleg recordings for many years until one of them, Rev. Durite ended up getting nominated for a Grammy. At that point Pryor stepped in and bought out their catalog. This one was put initially through World Sound Records, a company controlled by the infamous Morris Levy. Later it was issued as a picture disc by Audio Fidelity. And its actually not bad.
