This webinar is an introductory lecture to graduate level pharmacology. Professor Temmermand introduces pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, then takes a closer look at neuropharmacology concepts like synaptic transmission, pain transmission, and the neuromuscular junction. Through understanding these various physiologic states, we can begin to understand how many of our anesthetic medications, like sedatives, opioids, and muscle relaxants work to provide a balanced anesthetic. At the end of this webinar, Professor Temmermand does a fun quiz session with the audience to demonstrate some of the "top drawer" questions you might get in the OR. If there are any pharmacology topics you want to learn more about, please email Professor T at [email protected] with your suggestions! Link to the slides: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c5f1...
