Faux fur fix after dryer damage/how faux fur can be restored to a good looking condition/what to do?

My daughters beautiful jacket was messed up when I accidentally put it in the dryer for convenience. Learned the hard way and had to deal with this fur issue, she did not want to wear the fur part because of this. Searched online and found many things, all of them had combing in common. So I combed the faux fur hair with brush and comb. Used a bit of argon oil on it for shine, then used a lot of conditioner and put it in the warm water for couple of hours. Dried the fur combed it again and put argon oil again.
