Keren’s parents were introduced to Sense International Uganda, an organisation specialising in early childhood development and supporting children with vision and auditory loss and complex disabilities. They train parents, carers and teachers to provide home-based pre-school education and care. As a result, children’s nutrition, safety, health and learning improve so they can manage daily living and attend school. Lydia, the Technical Expert for deaf-blindness at Sense International Uganda has been supporting the family for the past four years, educating and guiding them on treatments and physiotherapy as well as a providing them with a walker and wheelchair.
