The Man Behind the Builds | Rich Downing | 2017 HOT ROD Power Tour

Rich Downing has personally Long Hauled the HOT ROD Power Tour some nine times, and this year was his third time Long Hauling with the Chevrolet Performance crew. Rich grew up wrenching with his dad, and through college, he bought cars, fixed them and resold them for profit. These were the early years as Rich developed a real appreciation and true understanding of automobiles. Fast forward some years, and Rich is now the Program Manager for Chevrolet Performance Specialty Show Vehicles. That means he gets to build project vehicles for shows like SEMA and HOT ROD Power Tour, like the 1970 LT4 powered Camaro and the LT376/535 powered Chevelle “Slammer”.
