iTrack™ Procedural Steps: Prepare the iTrack™ Surgical System Open the package: a) Remove the Canaloplasty Microcatheter Kit pouch from the box. DO NOT USE PRODUCT IF THE POUCH SEAL INTEGRITY HAS BEEN BROKEN. Note: For convenience, the kit pouch label includes small peel-off labels with unique device information to be affixed to the medical record. b) Open the pouch by pulling apart the chevron seal. c) Transfer product tray to sterile area. d) Remove the clear tray lid and the clear ViscoInjector™ cover. Prepare the ViscoInjector™: a) Remove the ViscoInjector™ from the tray. b) Remove the red protective cap and discard. c) Unscrew the injector body. d) Insert a viscoelastic cartridge piercing the septum with the needle in the injector body. e) Re-assemble the injector body. f) Turn the injector knob clockwise to express viscoelastic fluid from the injector body. g) Place the ViscoInjector™ back in sterile area. Remove iTrack™ 250A Microcatheter from the tray: a) Gently lift the clear protective cover tube from the packaging. b) Slide fingers underneath the cover tube until the assembly has detached from the tray. DO NOT PULL THE BLACK FIBER OPTIC LINE OR GRAB ONTO THE BLUE HUB UNTIL THE ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN FULLY REMOVED FROM THE PACKAGING TO AVOID DAMAGE. Remove cover tube from the iTrack™ 250A Microcatheter: a) Use care to pull the microcatheter straight out of the cover tube to avoid kinking the shaft at the blue hub. Prepare the iTrack™ 250A Microcatheter input lines: a) Remove the black fiberoptic line from the tray carefully to avoid tangles. b) Remove the clear infusion line from the tray and firmly attach the luer connector onto the ViscoInjector™. Prime the iTrack™ 250A Microcatheter: a) Turn the ViscoInjector™ knob 8-10 full turns and wait 5-10 seconds. b) If no viscoelastic flows, turn the knob ½ turn (4 clicks or notches) and wait another 5-10 seconds; repeat until viscoelastic flows from the tip. Note: Each click is 1/8 turn; one-half and full 360-degree turns are indicated by red and black lines on the ViscoInjector™. c) Avoid letting the viscoelastic dry at the tip of the microcatheter as the lumen can become occluded. The microcatheter may be placed in the packaging tray and the well filled with sterile saline or BSS to keep the tip of microcatheter wet until ready for use. Final preparation: a) Bring the primed iTrack™ 250A Microcatheter and ViscoInjector™ to the surgical field and secure the blue hub to the drape using adhesive surgical tape strips. b) Pass the black fiberoptic line off the sterile field to insert the white fiberoptic connector into the port on the iLumin™ fiberoptic illuminator. Note: Prior to advancing the microcatheter into Schlemm’s canal, turn the knob on the ViscoInjector™ 1/8 turn (1 click) to ¼ turn (2 clicks) to ensure that the viscoelastic is flowing from the device.
