COUPLE SURPRISES FRIENDS & FAMILY WITH FIRST DANCE AT WEDDING!!! HSM3 “CAN I HAVE THIS DANCE”

We learned the choreography to High School Musical 3’s “Can I have this dance” ALL BY OURSELVES. So yes, we switched a few things up to make it easier. Here is everything we changed: We didn’t do the seated twirl on the bench, (because the bench was carpeted) We didn’t do the last part of the waltz with the run/jump and instead we just did a normal waltz at that part. We didn’t do the second lift the exact way, (because I didn’t want to flash everyone, and we may have tried it that way a few times and Jamie may or may not have thrown me across the room.) We are in NO WAY professional dancers, or dancers at all, if this video doesn’t make that obvious enough. We just thought it would be a fun way to start our marriage, and it was. I smile from ear to ear every time I watch this video. My husband had never danced a day in his life when I hit him with, “hey, you know what would be funny?” Jamie (my now husband, eek!!!) agreed immediately along with, “THAT WOULD BE HILARIOUS.” We practiced this dance for two - three months in my tiny apartment, then in our church in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Jamie came such a long way and him agreeing to do this dance was a dream come true for me and just explains the type of person he is and why I married him.
