Match Vlog- Stafford Rangers 2-2 Runcorn Linnets! * Last minute drama! A last minute equalizer sees Stafford Rangers pick up a point at home to play off chasers Runcorn Linnets in very windy conditions. There was nothing separated between either side in the first half apart from when Runcorn applied some pressure on us just before half time. Their keeper was lucky not to be sent off as looked like he denied a goal scoring opportunity but was shown a yellow card. Stafford took an early second half lead in the 50th minute as the corner was swung in by Macca and Scott Wara was there to head the ball in at the near post. Runcorn equalized in the 68th minute with a great strike from 30 yards out. Later in the game Runcorn took the lead the ball was fizzed in the box featuring a scramble but it spilled and then was fired into the back of the net. With just seconds remaining of additional time Stafford made it 2-2 Atherton played the ball in and Kaiman Anderson finished it perfectly. It was a really poor second half performance Runcorn played much better and will feel they should have won it but the difference is that we took our chances well. Definitely take a point as it is another point gained and a vital step forwards to survival cannot beat an equalizer in the last minute. Onto the next one 🖤🤍
