Balloon Septoplasty is an FDA-approved technique in which your nose is first “numbed up” using primarily topical anesthetic solution placed on cotton in your nose for 20-30 minutes. A balloon-like catheter is then placed on either side of the septum in the nose and inflated “pushing” the septum to a more favorable position. The balloon catheter is then removed and repeated on the opposite side. Once complete, Dr. Pasha may remove any sharp spurs or projections on your septum to further improve your breathing.
