The petrol engines come in two forms: the GDI and T-GDI, which output an impressive 130bhp and 174bhp respectively. As Kia suspects that most buyers will want a diesel engine, they will be pleased to know that Kia has extended it’s mild-hybrid technology to both it’s 1.6l and 2.0l engines. A 48-volt battery extends the engine’s off time and seamlessly blends the ‘motor’ and ‘generator’ modes. The fourth-generation Kia Sportage features a redesigned front bumper, LED headlights and can get 16”, 17” and 19” alloys wheels.
