Joe Biden is marking the completion of his current cancer radiation treatment. On Oct. 20, the former President’s daughter, Ashley Biden, celebrated the latest step in his health journey, sharing how he “rung the bell” at Penn Medicine: University of Pennsylvania Health System. “Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at Penn Medicine. We are so grateful!” she wrote in part on an Instagram clip which featured her father ringing the bell while his doctor clapped. Ashley also uploaded a family photo which included herself, her dad, mom and former First Lady Jill Biden, and other loved ones alongside the text, “Dad has been so damn brave throughout his treatment. Grateful.” Plus, the 44-year-old shared a picture of the politician smiling with his doctor, who held a bouquet of flowers. News of the former President’s cancer diagnosis broke in May 2025, when his personal office announced that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer “with metastasis to the bone.”
