This final boss took around 52 minutes of isolated boss practice, using save and load states, to beat with no deaths on Normal. The final stage is very long, so fucking up on the final boss means redoing the entire stage. Since this is what destroyed my final stage attempt I decided to practice the final boss until I got it with no deaths. That should give me a good chance at beating it when I get back to it. For the first phase I try to collect the power ups for temporary invincibility. You can chain invincibility by doing this. As Im doing that Im taking out the minion ships around the boss. Each time you take down a ship the weak spot of the boss opens on its head. I then come back and shoot my power shots at the weak spot, keeping a constant chain going. For the final phase its similiar with chaining invincibility from power ups but I try to be as aggressive as possible in dealing damage. Once I complete the game I may make a tutorial with commentary. Let me know if there is an interest. Stay tuned !!
