Join us as we visit with the resident wild Black Vulture pair today. We'll start by telling you a little bit about what to expect when you watch and observe them, and also give you some cool facts about this species. No eating habits are shown in this video, only watching them perched in the trees together for awhile. This pair has been observed for a couple of years now near one particular area of the Homestead, and they are so fun to watch. Shy yet silly, these birds often get a bad reputation due to what they eat. But they are such an important part of our environment as the clean up crew, and deserve recognition for their role. We hope that by sharing this pair with you, maybe you'll grow to see them in a more positive light than you did before. If you love birdwatching, give these guys a chance too! They share a lot of the same antics and mannerisms as other backyard wild birds, and even some behaviors we see with our own domestic flock (like "eye to the sky" and even happy hopping). P.S. You'll briefly hear the kitties in the background as they watch me from the screened porch. They love safe birdwatching too! :) Learn more about the Black Vulture on their All About Birds profile: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/B... PROMO! Our affiliate program info has changed!
