Maybe you’ve seen a video that showed you that just sticking a tab on your car with some hot glue and just pulling, that it would just pop off the car and the dent would just magically be gone. Then you’ve gone and tried it on your car and now you’re stuck with a big piece of glue on your car and you’re not sure how to take it off the car without damaging the paint. I am going to show you how I remove the glue from the car when I’m doing paintless dent removal. So what do you do when you pull the dent and still have the glue stuck to the car? Well, what you’ll want to use is rubbing or isopropyl alcohol to easily take it off. When you are using the rubbing alcohol to pull off the glue, all you’ll need is a small dropper bottle or a small spray bottle. Then by just applying a small amount next to the edge of the glue and giving it a couple of seconds to work, you can then easily pull off the glue. If you are having trouble with it working, then you can try to lift just the edge of the glue and then put a few more drops of the alcohol behind the glue. This will help get more of the rubbing alcohol between the glue and the car to help release it. If needed, you can also use a plastic scraper to help lift the glue. Now sometimes when glue pulling a dent the hot glue will come off the car but may stick to the PDR Glue tab. This same technique will also remove the glue from the tab so that it can be used again.
