Thrifting has become incredibly trendy over the years, and critics argue that this popularity has made thrifting inaccessible to lower-income communities. While thrifting is usually encouraged for environmental reasons, some people are now claiming that we should stop thrifting, or stop reselling. While I think these arguments come from good hearts and real concerns, I don’t think they get to the root of the issue.
