Lincoln Electric Port A Torch KH990 (Unboxing, Setup, Test and Unbiased Review)

In this video I unbox, set up, test and give an unbiased review about the Lincoln Electric Port A Torch KH990. My favorite thing about this welder is its cutting power and simultaneous portability. The hardware is great since it's made by Harris. It comes with a cutting tip. Just so you know it does not come with full tanks so you will have to get your oxygen and acetylene filled at your local welding supply company. I did not have any trouble getting my oxygen tank exchanged even though it was missing a US dot number. While I love using this torch for cutting I prefer my MIG welder for welding. There is quite the learning curve when it comes to welding but this is a great starter kit if you are interested in learning how to weld. Even a professional welder may appreciate the portability of it since it's light and easy to carry across rough terrain. It has its own carrying case, an oxygen hose and an acetylene hose as well. Keep in mind that you will have to get the oxygen and acetylene tanks refilled much more often than the big tanks but they are lighter. I found out that it's a good idea to only turn the acetylene about 1/2 turn. However, many experienced welders suggest opening the oxygen valve all the way open. In terms of the regulators I set my oxygen pressure around 20 and my acetylene around 7 or so. Anyway, if you have any questions let me know.
