From Lake Tekapo to Amberley! (Solo bikepacking 1500 km on New Zealand’s South Island!)

This is my 6th video from the Sounds to Sounds 'reverse' route I cycled from south to north up the length of NZ"s South Island in March 2023! This video includes 3 days of cycling from the Mackenzie Country region of the South Island through to the Canterbury Plains, from Lake Tekapo to Geraldine, then to the Rakaia Gorge, and then through to Amberley. I didn't take a lot of footage during these rides (I was mostly just head down through some strong winds the whole time), but I did eat a lot of GREAT food :-). Sounds to Sounds is a 1500 km bikepacking route typically done from north to south down the length of NZ's South Island, from Queen Charlotte Sound to Milford Sound (check out this site for more info: http://www.touraotearoa.nz/p/sound-to....
