For the AMV Warfare challenge, editors were tasked with choosing one of the seven Servant classes from the Fate/Grand Order universe and creating a video using a non-Fate character that embodies the traits of that class—or crafting a video that represents the essence of the class itself. I chose Vergil from Devil May Cry 5 to represent the Saber class, and the choice couldn’t be more fitting. The Saber class is defined by its mastery of swordsmanship, unwavering resolve, and noble bearing in battle. Vergil embodies all of this and more. His iconic blade Yamato isn’t just a weapon—it’s a narrative force that drives the entire DMC saga across games 3, 4, and 5. This video highlights Vergil's relationship with Yamato, his relentless pursuit of power, and his internal war between humanity and control—an echo of the Saber archetype's pride and burden.
