Released exclusively for iOS devices in 2012, Urban Crime was Gameloft's attempt at making a freemium version of their popular "Gangstar" series. Set in the same universe and shortly after the events of Gangstar: Miami Vindication, the plot revolves around gang warfare in Miami, with the goal to take over each region in the city to gain full control. This is achieved through a variety of randomly generated missions that progress your power in that region, with the option to take down the leader and take control of said region when you have made enough progress. The game is unfortunately little more than a clear cash-grab attempt, using the same map, audio and assets seen in Gangstar: Miami Vindication (released 2 years prior) while removing any real story or progression and locking even the most basic mechanics behind pay-walls or serious grinding. Even something as simple as hi-jacking a car (a staple in these GTA style games) is often locked behind needing to be a certain level to drive most cars in the game, meaning you either have to grind out randomly generated missions to gain access or pay real-world money to purchase in-game currency to unlock the vehicles that way. Missions are also extremely basic and repetitive, often requiring you to kill someone, protect someone, race someone or steal something, and with takeover progression being awfully slow, you'll be doing a lot of these missions to get anywhere in the game. -------------------------- Intro - 0:00:00 Tutorial - 0:00:11 Fast Wheels, Fast Hands - 0:02:53 Rescue One of Our Boys - 0:04:19 Drugs for Our Gang - 0:06:49 The Smell of Burnt Rubber - 0:08:42 Take Over the Territory - 0:10:40 Killing the Enemy - 0:14:17 Rescue One of Our Boys II - 0:15:37 Beat 'Em Up! - 0:21:28 Escort to Safety - 0:22:47 Fast Wheels, Fast Hands II - 0:27:33 Enemy Drug Dealers - 0:29:17 Killing the Enemy II - 0:31:27 Take Over the Territory II - 0:32:47 Chase Them Down - 0:35:20 Outro - 0:38:01 --------------------------
