DCDA Kids at Capital Dancesport Championships

BIG congratulations are in order to DC DanceSport Academy dancers Olivia, Taylor, Josh, Nadia, Bella, Winnie, Mary, Maya, Vladislav, and Michael, after last night's final celebration! It was a week full of excellent dancing and beautiful performances by our competitors, and your teachers are simply beaming with pride after a job well done. So much hard work, preparation, and planning goes into attending and dancing at an event like Capital DanceSport Championships and we are happy to say that it all paid off in the form of amazing results for our dancers. A special congrats to Michael for winning the Ballroom Bronze SCHOLARSHIP in the Best of the BEST Competition! Woo hoo! Huge congratulations to Vladislav for dancing his first ever Pro-Am competition and winning Open Gold Smooth Scholarship! Congrats to Olivia, Taylor, and Josh for dancing their first-ever competition and winning all FIRST places! Wow! Congrats to Maya for dancing in BOTH the Latin and Standard Youth Championships, with her first time in Junior 1 category...a BIG step up in the DanceSport world! Bravo! Congrats to our little dancer Nadia for dancing and making her debut in Pro/Am category. Way to go! Congrats to our elegant Winnie making final in highly competitive Silver Latin Scholarship and dancing her FIRST time in Standard category! Yes! Congratulations to Bella who also made her debut dancing in both Latin & Standard categories, and her first competition as a DCDA competitor! Awesome! And last, but not least, our amazing dynamic dance couple, Michael and Mary, who danced together winning all first places! Cheers!
