The Library's main objective is to provide a free service to the neighborhood to preserve and promote the Buddhist teachings. Any reader from diverse backgrounds can have an equal opportunity to explore and learn the authentic records of Buddha's teachings, the Kangyur (collection of sutra teachings of the Buddha), and Tengyur (the collection of the Indian commentaries upon the Buddha's Words translated into Tibetan). The Library also has various religious and political histories, literature, and cultural resources in different languages like English, Tibetan, and Chinese.
