The lighthouse stands 11 meters tall, with a focal height of 69 meters, and its light reaches approximately 20 kilometers. Surrounded by cliffs and sea, the white lighthouse continues to shine quietly as a symbol of this remote cape. Misaki Shrine stands near the westernmost tip of the Shōnai Peninsula, facing the sea as if offering prayers beyond the horizon. For centuries, it has drawn worshippers seeking safe voyages and abundant catches, making it a shrine rich in tradition. With no road access, visitors must reach it on foot via a mountain path, making it a place not easily reached. This seclusion lends the site a profound sense of silence and sacredness.
