A live, improvised exploration of digital chaos and analog saturation. This performance focuses on the interaction between the unpredictable Speak & Glitch and the dual-filtering capabilities of the Duet, pushing the limits of signal levels to achieve a thick, overdriven texture. Process & Signal Path: The Speak & Glitch is known for its high-output signal. By feeding it "hot" into the Duet, the filters aren't just shaping the tone—they are being driven into a natural, "grungy" analog saturation. To create the stereo image, the mono signal is split into both filters of the Duet and hard-panned. The result is then routed through a hardware mixer where a reverb and delay send add spatial depth to the grit. Gear: • Error Instruments - Speak & Glitch: A circuit-bent digital logic synthesizer based on modified speech chips. It excels at rhythmic artifacts, crushed vowels, and erratic looping. • DecadeBridge - Duet: A dual analog filter workstation. In this patch, it functions as a stereo spatializer. By offsetting the cutoff frequencies of the two filters, the "hot" mono input is transformed into a wide, saturated stereo field. Full Chain: 1. Speak & Glitch 2. Duet (Dual Filter / Hard Panned) 3.
