Rasps are an important tool that can be easily overlooked by woodworkers who aren't familiar with how well and how quickly they can shape and refine your work. Rasps come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. And they also come from an equally wide variety of manufacturers. Auriou Rasps have been "hand-made" by the same family for years and while they disappeared from the market a few years ago, they've been back and better than ever. Auriou rasps are expensive, when compared to other manufacturers, but it's their quality in construction and their amazing results that set them apart. And when I mentioned "hand-made" I meant it.
