This is a tutorial on how to remove the scent glands from a deceased skunk for taxidermy purposes. No animals were harmed for the purpose of filming this video or for the taxidermy process. Both skunks pictured were humanely euthanized in the care of workers for the State of Wisconsin and according to state law, were legally required to be euthanized. Rather than discarding the skunks' remains, they were given to me for taxidermy purposes. I hold a state license for taxidermy, as required by law.
