Celebrating the Women of CCAMH | International Women’s Day 2026

Today, the Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CCAMH), University of Ibadan, celebrates the women whose dedication, knowledge, and leadership continue to strengthen child and adolescent mental health across Africa. CCAMH began in 2010 with seed funding from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and brings together scholars, researchers, administrators, and support staff who contribute daily to training, research, and systems strengthening, with women playing central roles in learning, leadership, and service within a transdisciplinary community. Their stories shared in this video reflect journeys of scholarship, lived experience, and professional commitment, and this shows the many ways women contribute to advancing mental health for children, adolescents, and families. International Women’s Day 2026 provides an opportunity to recognise these contributions and reaffirm commitment to creating spaces where women can learn, lead, and transform lives.
