Happy spring, everyone! I wish you a productive, healthy season! Let's go! I am excited to have time to stitch and piece quilts in my camp host "stitchy tent" as I like to call it. My Fox and Rabbit 2025 Mystery Sampler--"Cloister Garden" is being stitched on "Rosemary" 18-count Aida by Vintage NeedleArts hand dyed Zweigart, using all DMC floss. The "Herb Garden" by Tina Richards Herman c.1992 is being stitched on ivory 18-count Aida. Here are the herbs and their medicinal goodness that are on my current cross stitch project, also using all the called for DMC floss colors. *Lavender is a versatile herb used for aromatherapy, in skin and hair products, and even in cooking. *Borage is a versatile herb with various benefits, including attracting pollinators and beneficial insects to gardens. It also offers medicinal properties, including potential support for skin conditions, cardiovascular health, and even some cognitive functions. *Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a medicinal herb with a long history of use, traditionally applied to wounds, taken to reduce inflammation, and used in herbal teas. *Tansy--Despite serious safety concerns, the parts of the tansy plant that grow above the ground are used to make medicine. Tansy is used for digestive tract problems including stomach and intestinal ulcers, certain gallbladder conditions, gas, bloating, stomachache, stomach spasms, and poor appetite. *Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) is an herb traditionally used for its medicinal properties. It is believed to be beneficial for the following conditions: Migraines: Feverfew contains parthenolide, a compound that may help reduce inflammation and prevent migraines. Arthritis: Feverfew's anti-inflammatory properties may help alleviate pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. Menstrual cramps: Feverfew may help reduce menstrual pain and cramping. Digestive problems: Feverfew may help improve digestion and reduce nausea. Allergies: Feverfew may have antihistamine effects that can help reduce allergy symptoms. Skin conditions: Feverfew may help soothe and reduce inflammation of the skin. *Hyssop herb is traditionally used for various health conditions, including respiratory issues like coughs, colds, and asthma, as well as digestive problems and skin ailments. It's also believed to have antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Hyssop is often used in the form of tea, extracts, or essential oil. #flosstube #rvquilter #crossstitch
