She reveals that a search party once came—but gave up—devastating the group. As Kodiak and Hannah offer a way out, Lottie insists “it” doesn’t want them rescued. Natalie tries to lead an escape, but Lottie, Taissa, and Shauna refuse to leave. Shauna forbids anyone from going. Back in the present, Van’s declining health pushes Misty and Taissa to desperate spiritual extremes. Taissa nearly suffocates a dying patient in an attempt to please “it,” but he dies naturally before she follows through. Callie and Jeff believe the danger may finally be behind them, until Jeff lies to save face with their furniture clients. Meanwhile, Shauna tracks down Melissa, now married and living undercover.
