United transatlantic economy class onboard the rare B767-400ER! We start our Trip Report at Newark Liberty international airport (EWR) , United major east coast hub. Today we fly on a special aircraft, the -400ER ,last pax version of the legendary 767 operated only by 2 airlines ,United & Delta. Unique to the 767 a 2-3-2 configuration in economy gives the aircraft a unique vibe. After a quick visit to United club we boarded our aircraft in groups and efficiently. The seat (43L) had substantial padding and the legroom more than enough (31") , with the 2 seats by the window make it more cozy than the classic 3 on other types. Pushback and take off with a slight delay with a 180° turn straight after lift off with amazing views of NYC ! Now about United long haul economy experience.. Pleasant , comfortable and enjoyable for this particular flight with the best airplane wifi i ever had available in good speed from gate to gate ! US airlines do not have the best reputation for luxury , but United did all the necessary stuff for us to have a pleasant experience! Finally flown on the B767 ! The B767 might not be the shiniest modern aircraft but still offers a very comfortable experience in economy class ,with the 2-3-2 configuration. Have you flown with United? What route & aircraft? How was your experience?
