Ms. Mathur is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution practice at AZB & Partners, Mumbai. She is an alumnus of Government Law Colege, Mumbai, and graduated in 2007. Thereafter, she pursued a Master's degree from Columbia University School of Law, New York in 2009. She has advised and represented clients in several domestic and international arbitrations involving a number of complex commercial and contractual issues across various sectors such as insurance, projects, renewable energy, steel, and coal. Her work highlights include a landmark decision of the Supreme Court distinguishing between seat and venue of arbitration and enforcement of one of the largest claims awarded in international treaty arbitration against a State. Ms. Mathur has also been recognized as an ‘Up and Coming’ Dispute Resolution lawyer by Chambers Global (2021) and Chambers Asia-Pacific (2021), and also recommended by Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2021) in Dispute Resolution (Litigation) and Dispute Resolution (Arbitration).
