Make a Quote Video: Make an Inspirational or Funny Quote Video for Free Online

A quote video is a video that focuses on a text quote, usually inspirational or funny, that sits on a beautiful background. The background could be a solid background, an abstract design, or a photo/video that you’ve taken on your phone. In this video I show you how to create one easily and online without having to download an app using Kapwing. Step 1: Find a background you like The first step is to decide what kind of background you want, be it a solid color, landscape, or some kind of scene. Youtube has a ton of options if you’d like a video background. You can also search Google for images or animated GIFs that would look good behind a quote. The images should be beautiful but not too distracting. Some good examples are landscapes and city scapes: Once you’ve found the background you want to use, open Kapwing’s Studio and click the purple “Get Started” button. Copy the link to the image/video/gif file and paste it to Kapwing’s studio. You can also upload content directly from your device. If you prefer, you can start with a blank canvas and design a background using shapes, colors, and images. Once your background has uploaded, use the toolbar to adjust and enhance it. Resize your video by clicking resize at the bottom of the page. If you are uploading it to Instagram, I recommend 1:1. If you need to trim your video, you can click the video and click trim in the upper left corner. To set a custom background color, use the “Background” tool. Creators can choose one of the pre-set colors or enter a custom hex value to define their specific color. Step 2: Add and time your quote Now that you’ve gotten your background in place, add the Quote text. Click the “Text” tool to insert a quote text box. Choose the text color, font and outline you want. You can style the font with bold, italics, or an outline. Resize the text and place it on the frame as you’d like. You can also add the author of the quote in a separate text box or write anonymous. Use Timeline to time out the text. Drag the slider on each layer to define when it will appear on the screen. Note that if you are using a blank color, image or a GIF, you can set the length of your video in 5 second intervals. After you have added the text and made it appear at the right time, you can add an animation to make your quote fade or flicker in. Select the quote layer and click “Animate” in the bottom panel. In the animation editor, preview what the fade and flicker animations look like when added to your quote. You can make the animation move at medium speed or go slow or fast. Click “Done” when you’ve set the animation and repeat for any other text layers. Step 3: Download and share When you are happy with your quote video, click Done. After a few moments, you’ll have a perfect Quote Video with the animated text embedded into your MP4. You can share the link to your video or you can download it to your device and share the file directly.
