Experience the thrill of whitewater rafting on the Dead River in Maine with Moxie Outdoor Adventure. Raft through Class 4 rapids and enjoy the beauty of the West Forks area! Dead River flows to the east to join the Kennebec River at Forks Maine. If you are thinking of doing whitewater rafting in New England then the Dead River and Kennebec River might be the best option for rafting. There are different outdoor adventures that do Whitewater rafting. One of them that I know of is Moxie's outdoor adventures. How I found them is, we were planning to go out for camping and water adventure during the labor day long weekend. Searched google " Camping in Maine", and one of the sites that popped out was Moxie's site. Booked the camping and saw on the service the White water Rafting on the Dead River and Kennebec River. I had no idea how the rafting will be, but later figure out it was class 4 rapids, Exciting, fun, and a little bit nervous. I saw a couple of youtube videos on Whitewater rafting on the Dead River, I was more excited to hit it but at the same time nervous. To compare, the Kennebec whitewater rafting vs the Dead river, I honestly have no idea but as per the experienced guy, Kennebec has high rapids than the Dead river but it is short whereas the Dead river provides more and longer rapids. In general, the dead river is much more fun than Kennebec. But I would like to try it myself and keep watching the videos, I am planning to go to the Kennebec Whitewater Rafting soon and will upload the video after that. To explain more about Whitewater Rafting on Dead River, it is 16 miles of rafting which will take roughly around 3+ hrs, depending upon the speed of the raft. Moxie outdoor adventure provided all the facilities required for rafting, basic rafting knowledge, pick up and drop facility from Moxie Campground, and BBQ at the end at the same price. Overall, it was very fun, adventurous, and very good experience doing the "Whitewater Rafting on Dead River "
