Meet Salman and Tombek, recent alumni of the MSc in Water and Sustainable Development programme at IHE Delft. Salman, from Iraq, is an environmental human rights defender who came to IHE Delft to bring an interesting twist to his already impactful career in water governance. At IHE Delft, he chose to specialise in Water, Food and Energy to further develop his academic skills. Tombek, from South Sudan, came to IHE Delft to gain interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to address the interconnected challenges facing South Sudan. Breaking the cycle of poverty and food insecurity in his country is his main focus. He pursued the Water, Food and Energy track.
