Meet Helen Wynants and her stunning 1976 Holden Torana SLR 5000. One of the biggest challenges during the build was finding the perfect shade of red for that eye-catching air cleaner to complement the rest of the car's color scheme. Under the bonnet sits another proven 355 stroker - because when you know what works well, why mess with success? The engine features Holley Sniper EFI, Holden VN heads, and was built by Kit Hunter, who also owns Rod Beauchamp's VL Commodore and definitely knows his craft. The drivetrain gets serious with a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed transmission, and they carefully selected different differential ratios specifically to utilise all six gears effectively. The A9X conversion kit proved to be another challenging fitment, but the end result speaks for itself. The diff runs 4.11 gears with a Trutrack center for optimal traction, while the interior maintains that classic Torana charm with the iconic golf ball seat inserts - because if it looks good, stick to it. Electronic Speed Hut gauges round out the package, creating a perfect blend of classic styling with modern performance and reliability.
