PowerMate® stair climbers have the ability to raise loads up onto surfaces, like truck beds for example. They do this by raising the wheels (which extends the frame) up onto the raised surface; from there it is simply a matter of closing the machine to bring up the load. With an LE-1 however, you can raise just the load without having to bring the PowerMate up with it. The LE-1 has the same capacity as the L-1 at 700 lbs. and can move all the same types of loads such as appliances, hot water tanks, AC units, geothermal units, furnaces, drain cleaners and of course wood stoves, barrels, electric motors or other heavy loads.
