Yes, you heard correctly, its BUILT-IN - mic and all!! Please note however that all batteries die, and after spending 5+ hrs on the road the Forcite helmet needs to be recharged which is why you'll see the GoPro strapped up. Even then the batteries in the GoPro needed to be changed every hour. We recharged everything every day, even while in our tents.
