Tramping accross the Southern Alps New Zealand | Part 1 of 2

Description In februaray 2023 I hiked for three weeks around Mount Aspiring National Park on the southern island of New Zealand. My goal was to cross the Southern Alps from Wanaka over Queenstown to Haast. From the 2nd to the 9th I did the first section from Wanaka to Queenstown. I first followed the Te Araroa trail which I left at Macetown. From there I crossed over to the Shotover River Valley over Advance Peak and Vanguard Peak. On the hills between Shotover River and Moonlight River I walked towards Ben Lomond where I finally descended down to Queenstown. This scarcely narrated video shows impressions from this first section of the trip.
