Small Streamers are angry little gremlins bent on having some of the hottest takes about Content Creation, you've ever heard, so let's react to them! 👑Full Budget Streamer Gear List: https://kit.co/Eljayem 🔴 Download FREE Animated Overlays From Our Discord: https://bit.ly/FREEStreamOverlays Why Is Twitch Discovery Not Good for Small Streamers Twitch sorts their categories by most viewers, which means it is what we call a Kingmaker system, essentially when one Streamer gets lots of viewers, they rise to the top of the category or get more recommendations causing them to get more viewers who come browsing Twitch. So beginners or small streamers often sit right down at the bottom of the categories and never get any clicks, because nobody scrolls down 20,000 streamers to find them, and nobody uses the filters over here to check by recommended or smallest despite what you might hope. In reality, very few even check categories, most Viewers actually go straight to their Follower List or Favourite streamer meaning discovery on Twitch is relatively slow to start out. Think about it, when you type twitch.tv into your bar, it usually auto-completes to your favourite streamers channel, not to a specific category or the homepage. This kingmaker system has led to A LOT of outcry from smaller creators asking Twitch to do more for them and their discovery and in turn the same reason why educators such as myself or harris often push you guys to diversify across other platforms with algorithms such as TikTok or YouTube… even if you hate that advice with all your heart. 🕘Timestamps: 0:00 You're not Shadowbanned, just bad 1:00 Follower Only Chat Is Awesome 1:30 Stream Educators Are SCAMMERS 2:40 Small Streamers Would NEVER Watch Their Own Streams 3:20 Self Promotion Is A SCAM 4:07 Big Streamers Would NEVER Grow Today 4:50 Boring Creators GROW BETTER 5:20 There Are Too Many Videos To Succeed 6:06 Raids Are Overrated On Twitch 6:45 Twitch Is Going To Die 7:19 You Need To Love Creating To Grow 7:56 Big effects and tech make worse streams 8:29 If you're embarrassed to show your content, it probably sucks 9:10 Stop blaming the Algorithm 9:58 Tight Knit Stream Communities Make Worse Content 11:00 Nobody knows how to Google anymore 12:13 People Love SLOP! 12:36 Expensive Gear Isn't A Replacement For Your Boring Personality 13:20 It's easy to grow, you're just lazy 14:07 You can't grow from mass production 14:40 Bonus sponsorship drama What Is The New Twitch 2K Update? After nearly a year of privately testing 2K or 1440p streaming, Twitch has announced they are ready to roll out the service to Partners and affiliates, starting right now. This is a landmark occasion, as Twitch has only supported a maximum of 1080p streaming for nearly a decade. Twitch has said they'll be increasing the bitrate to support 1440p, use a newer HEVC codec, and the new Twitch enhanced broadcasting tools to allow stream quality to adjust automatically for viewers. What Is The New Twitch Affiliate Update? New Creators were required to reach 50 Followers, stream a minimum of 7 days, stream for a minimum of 8 hours, and reach an average viewership of 3… all within 30 days… this arguably monumental task kept many from being able to monetise their channels. Now, New Streamers will only need 3 Average viewers, across 4 streams for 4 days, for 4 hours, and only 25 Followers before they can begin spamming their tiny audience with unskippable, painful repetitive Ads. Twitch also explained that later this year, every streamer, affiliate or not, will be given access to monetisation and community features such as emotes, and channel points, essentially making none of this matter. The only difference between a non-affiliate, and affiliate moving forward will simply be that any income earned by Non-affiliates must be spent on Twitch by the streamer on other streamers, and cannot be paid out. The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty. 🎬Watch our most recent videos: https://bit.ly/RecentStreamVids -------------------------------SOCIAL------------------------------- 🐦Go force Eljay to use Twitter: http://bit.ly/EljaysTweets #twitch #growth #guide
