How to rebuild a Charleston Spar (Spar Craft) in-mast roller furling and how we saved thousands by doing it ourselves. Stephen was practicing furling and unfurling the main sail when he noticed bearings falling out of the furler. Without the bearings, the main sail could jam and we would lose control of pulling the sail out or putting it back in which could be dangerous when out on the ocean or coming in to dock. Luckily Stephen had plenty of time to research and fix the problem. By fixing it himself, we saved $5,000.
